Optometry Queensland Northern Territory Awards
Nominations open on April 22nd for Optometry Queensland Northern Territory’s 2026 Optometrist of the Year and Rising Star Awards.
These Awards shine a light on OQNT members who go above and beyond for their patients, their peers, and their profession.
Join us in recognising optometrists who strengthen our profession today and into the future by nominating someone you know before 7th June 2026.
The Awards are presented across two categories:
The Optometrist of the Year Award is given to a member who, particularly in the last year, has made an outstanding contribution to the optometry profession through innovation, initiative, or exceptional demonstrated care.

The Rising Star Award recognises an optometrist in the first ten years of their career who has displayed excellence in innovation, academic publishing, community outreach, or otherwise distinguished themselves.

How to Nominate
If you believe you or someone you know is eligible and deserving of one of these three awards in 2026, download and complete the appropriate award category nomination form above and return it to Sarah Case, OA Member Engagement Advisor, at s.case@optometry.org.au before 7th June 2026.
