Following the success of We Are Here, Optometry Australia’s lockdown virtual choir in 2020, and the launch of our very first Pub Choir at OCC 2025, we’re excited to bring it back again for 2026.
Do you love karaoke, sing in the shower, or secretly wish you were on stage? Maybe you’re already a musician who loves a good singalong. Whatever your experience level, if you enjoy music and having fun, we’d love you to be part of it.
Join us in The Eye Lounge at the Welcome Reception where we will come together once again for an unforgettable choir experience.
To register your interest in this volunteer choir, please complete the Expression of Interest form below. Please note you must be registered as a delegate at OCC to participate.
All delegates and exhibitors are welcome — from students through to retired members. No singing experience is required.
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve never sung before, can’t read music, or are already an accomplished performer. We’ll provide audio tracks so you can learn in your own time, and for those who are music literate, vocal scores for your nominated part will also be available. Everyone learns differently, and we’ll support you along the way.
Do you need to tick off your CPR requirement?
Saturday 8 August 2026
Location: BRISBANE CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE
Cost: $75 per person
In line with our broader conference offerings, a CPR refresher course will be available as part of the additional activities on offer.
Ahpra requires that optometrists renew their CPR certificate every three years.
OA members can complete their CPR refresher with a practical, in-person session held the day before the conference. This course includes an online theory component and a hands-on assessment, helping you stay current with this essential requirement.
If you need to refresh your CPR training, please confirm your interest with Angela Davison - a.davison@optometry.org.au
